Volunteering
​​
Walks are the highlight of our canine residents days so we are always looking to welcome new dog walking volunteers. Anyone who is enthusiastic about connecting with the dogs and ensuring that they enjoy their time at Munlochy is perfect for this role. All you need to do is show up any day of the week at 9am to start walking dogs. Anyone may walk until 11.30am at the latest.

Want to support us whilst getting something for yourself and your own furry friends? You can do exactly that by purchasing from our shop. We sell good quality second hand items as well as brand new products. We have something for everyone, whether you're shopping for dogs or cats maybe for small pets and even horses. You can browse a selection of our items here. We have more in our shop at Munlochy and you can pop in any day of the week during our opening times between 10am and noon to get your animal something new. You can also bring along your pet if you want to ensure that the new jacket, harness, etc fits just right.

Iona's Books-
All year round you can purchase Iona's books from Munlochy detailing the story of how she has handled running a rescue charity, the stresses that it holds as well as the many rewarding moments that make it all worth while.

Fundraising

Our Fundraisers-
If you wish to help us and encourage others to do so then you can always hold/participate in a fundraiser. We hold our own fundraising events throughout the year, often seen at Tesco or Co-op. We always post about where we will be and what we will be doing on our Main Facebook page. Every year near Christmas is when we do the majority of our events, we sell calendars featuring past residents from Munlochy, which if you have, you can submit your own picture to be put in the calendar near the time. We sell packs of Christmas cards as well as animal Santa bags which hold 2 bags of treats, 3 toys each. We always hold a Christmas raffle which have a plethora of fantastic prizes.

If you are great at organising and keen to help then you can organise your own fundraiser and advertise it for Munlochy.

Donating

There are many ways you can support us by donations:

Your Old Belongings-
By gifting us your unwanted clean bedding, duvets and towels (we can't accept any pillows) that are not ready for the dump yet. Any animal food that your pet maybe decided against. Old hutches/cages that are still usable and any other animal related product from leads and harnesses to cat carriers, we can pretty much use it all! You can drop them off to us during our opening times or simply put them in the donation box that sits outside our gate.

Donation Boxes-
Some of the local supermarkets have donation drop off points where you can leave any pet related products for us. Check if your local shop has one and feel free to leave any animal related products at the drop off point to be collected and delivered to us. Dog food tins and cat sachets are always much appreciated as we go through a lot every day.

Books
You can donate any old books you no longer want, we have a book stall in the
Co-op on Telford Street in Inverness. We are always looking for a good variety of books including fiction, non-fiction, childrens books, etc. You can drop them off at Munlochy or leave them under the table at the Co-op and we'll collect them.

Amazon Wishlist-
If you want to treat our residents to something that will make them happy then you can always buy something off of our amazon wishlist. On that you will find food, toys leads and more. If you would like you can always treat the human residents too by buying any of the cleaning supplies seen on there too. These supplies ensure that we can give the animals the most hygienic environment possible, we usually pay for these items ourselves but we use so many products each day that anything you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Money Donations
You can also donate money to us directly by Paypal or bank transfer. Any amount is incredibly helpful and will be used for vet bills, animal food, and ensuring that all our residents are getting the right care and optimal environment needed for them.
